First Payoff Results

College football rivalry weekend. It was the 97th Annual Apple Cup and the UM/MSU game. Luckily and I mean luckily the Cougars were able to pull off a victory and get the Husky Demons off of their back; and unfortunately the Griz were able to pull off a victory. It had been 6 straight years of the Huskies defeating the Cougars.

So with the payoff we had two beers. The BiFrost Winter Ale, brewed by Elysian Brewing Company, Seattle, WA; and the other beer was the Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale, brewed by Anderson Valley Brewing Company, Mendocino County, CA.

The Winter Solstice was by far the hands down winner. Smooth thicker beer with a hint of vanilla and a great finish.

This will be one to remember.
